Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to a new school year. The school is looking forward to welcoming back all students in a safe and supportive manner for the commencement of 2022. I would like to update you on important information about this return, including COVID-smart plans and temporary arrangements for our canteen.

We will start 2022 with a layered approach to COVID-smart measures that have been developed in partnership with NSW Health to help minimise transmissions at school. The health and wellbeing of our students and staff remain our priority and these measures are designed to help keep our school open and our students learning in the classroom.

Please read through the information, the NSW Department of Education's Advice for families page, and contact the school if you have any questions.

We also have major construction work occurring at the school. We are very excited that our former C-Block canteen and toilets have been demolished and construction has commenced on a new canteen in the former Year 12 senior area, and a new toilet block adjacent to B-Block.

The COVID-SMART COMMENCEMENT - TERM 1, 2022 outlines COVID-smart school operations and settings including:

·         Attending school

·         Rapid antigen test (RAT) kits

·         What happens when a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19?

·         Use of surgical masks

·         Student physical distancing, including staggered finish times

·         Canteen

·         Visitors on school sites and vaccinations

·         Ventilation and cleaning

On the wellbeing resources for students and families website you will find useful tools for mental health and wellbeing. Please do not hesitate to contact the school if we can do anything to help you and your children or if you have any concerns about the commencement of school for 2022.

Thank you for your continued support.

Stay safe, take care.

Ben Higginbottom

Principal (Relieving)
