Year 11 and 12 - 2027 and 2028 Subject selection

As students begin planning for Years 11 and 12 (Stage 6), subject selection becomes one of the most important decisions they will make during their schooling. The courses chosen for Stage 6 can influence future pathways, including university entry, apprenticeships, TAFE studies, and employment opportunities. Students are encouraged to select subjects that align with their interests, strengths, and future goals, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated throughout their senior years. Subject selections should be based on individual interests, abilities, and aspirations rather than on what friends are choosing to study.

Parents and carers play a vital role in supporting students through this process. We encourage families to discuss subject choices together, considering each student's strengths, aspirations, and long-term plans. Students are also encouraged to speak with teachers during lessons or break times to learn more about the courses they are considering. By working in partnership with the school, students can make informed decisions that will help set them up for success both during their HSC studies and beyond.

Parents and carers are also welcome to contact the school on 4964 1282 if they would like further information or guidance regarding elective choices.
