At FGHS we provide students with outstanding wellbeing and pastoral care programs. We take pride in nurturing and supporting each child in their social, emotional, spiritual and physical development. We are a school where we base interactions on kindness and where we work through our conflict with words.
Caring for our students is our number one priority at FGHS. We do this by offering every student a diverse range of programs dedicated to student care and support including:
- A faculty 100% dedicated to student wellbeing .This is known as the Learning and Wellbeing (LAW) Faculty and is led by Laura George.
- Being a Positive Behaviour for Learning school
- The use of Restorative Practices
- The Learning Centre - where students can access extra support Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays from 3:00pm to 4:30pm
- Expert Year Advisers, 2IC's and Girls Adviser
- A discipline policy that is enforced
- A Speech Pathology Program
- Seasons For Growth
- Community partnerships with external services eg. Samaritans and Catholic Care
- Breakfast Club
